Simple Golf Stats

Simple Golf Stats ("the app") is built by David Lampert, operating as DLL Systems LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and how it is handled. We do not sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account you provide an email address and, optionally, your first and last name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email address that those services provide.

Golf performance data. The app stores the statistics you choose to log — such as scores, greens in regulation, putts, fairways hit, and similar round data. This data is tied to your account so it syncs across your devices.

Handicap Index. If you enter a Handicap Index in Settings it is stored in your account profile to personalise benchmarks. You are not required to provide it.

Usage information. Firebase, our backend provider, automatically collects basic technical information such as device type and crash reports to help us maintain the app. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs beyond what Firebase provides.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and authenticate your account
  • To store and sync your golf statistics across devices
  • To calculate personalised performance benchmarks
  • To send transactional emails you request (e.g. password reset, email verification)
  • To diagnose crashes and maintain app stability

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not share it with data brokers or marketing platforms.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.

Your golf data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure (Firestore) in the United States.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your account and all associated data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all your data at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

5. Children's Privacy

Simple Golf Stats is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. This Website

The simplegolfstats.com marketing website does not collect any personal information. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts. Visiting the website is entirely anonymous.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes we will provide notice inside the app.
